Hello
i'm amber
I’m a photographer based in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, documenting families, couples, mothers-to-be and individuals.
My work is centred around the small moments that make up everyday life. The ones that often pass quietly while they’re happening, but become the memories we return to later.
What shaped my work
I grew up in South Africa and moved to the Netherlands a few years ago. Living in a new country slowed my pace in many ways and made me notice more.
Photography gradually became a way of paying attention.
The more I observed families and everyday life, the more I realised that the photographs people treasure most are often the simplest ones.
The cup of coffee dad makes for mom while she settles the baby to sleep.
The breakfast you and your partner make together every Saturday morning.
The moment your husband rubs your feet on the couch after a long day of carrying your baby.
These moments are rarely planned, but they often carry the most meaning.
My Process
01.
Inquire
After you send your inquiry or we have a consultation call, I will share more information about the experience and available dates. Once the booking fee and contract are completed, your session is officially reserved.
02.
Planning your session
We begin with a vision call where we talk about your ideas for the session and what this season of life means to you. We also discuss clothing, location, where your photographs will live in your home and which collection feels most aligned.
03.
The session
Sessions are calm and unhurried. Rather than directing every moment, I observe and allow things to unfold naturally while offering gentle guidance when needed.
04.
The reveal
A few weeks after the session we meet again for your reveal call. You will see your photographs for the first time and we finalise your collection, albums and prints. Your pieces are then sent for production and delivered to your home.
When I'm not behind the lens
I enjoy long walks (or runs), listening to music or a podcast, making food, enjoying sunshine, and spending time with my husband, family and friends.
I tend to move through the world as an observer more than a director. Photography allows me to do exactly that. To notice, to document, and to preserve small pieces of life as they are.
If this feels like the right place for your family, I would love to connect.
